Admission to O’Block is selective, and it is simple. There is no fee, no test and no transcript to send.
How admission works
- Read the question.There is only one, and it is the same for everyone.
- Write your answer.Up to 500 words. Take as long as you like before you submit — you only answer once.
- We read it.Every answer is read in full by the admissions panel. We are looking for thinking, not for a correct fact.
- We write back.You will hear from us by email whether or not you are offered a place.
What we look for
There is a textbook answer to the question. It is not what we are asking for. We want to see how you think: whether you notice something others miss, whether you can follow an idea further than expected, and whether you can say it clearly in your own words.
The College is for students who have been underestimated. Your school, your grades and your postcode do not appear on the form, and they do not count against you.
